Have fun echoing the video, once you feel comfortable you can be the leader and have your parents or siblings echo them back!
LET'S MOVE!
Move to the music in the video below. Make sure that the movements you do match the music in some way - for example, when the melody goes down ('descends') our physical actions also move downwards.

Presto Largo Song
Dear Kindergarten and Grade one musicians,
As you listen to this song, keep the beat in different ways, such as marching, patting your knees, nodding your head, etc. Be creative with how you chose to keep the beat, you may want to use one of your stuffed animals as a 'beat buddy'.
TEMPO OLYMPICS
This is a fun game to get the entire family up and moving all while learning three important music terms. The three terms you need to know for this game are:
- Largo: at a slow pace
- Moderato: at a medium pace
- Presto: at a fast, rapid pace.
- Create a set of tempo cards with the words Largo, Moderato, and Presto on them.
- Pick an activity such as jumping jacks, push ups, dancing, running in place... you could also make a set of cards with different activities on them.
- Pick a flashcard and an activity, and perform that activity at the selected tempo.
- Take turns being the athlete!
- Discuss how different activities felt at different tempi ('tempi' is the plural of tempo).
